The dad of a British backpacker murdered in Thailand believes his son died a hero--Tragedy!

Victim: David, 24

Ian Miller, the father of David Miller, 24, who was killed a week ago on the paradise island of Koh Tao along with fellow Briton Hannah Witheridge, 23, said: “It’s quite likely David was stepping in to assist a girl in trouble. That would be absolutely in his character.” But speaking from his home in Jersey, Mr Miller said the family had been kept in the dark about the progress of the investigation.

The two pals were found bludgeoned to death on a beach hours after drinking in a bar together. Yesterday David’s friend Sean McAnna paid tribute to him on Facebook.
He posted: “I first said I knew he tried to save her. That was a guess, but now I’ve seen he didn’t leave with that girl he must have stumbled upon what happened and tried to fight them off. That’s the Dave I loved.”
