Good Morning Nigerians: Sensitization Of The Youths On Electoral And Political Matters -With Magnus Hyacinth Episode 3

Good Morning Nigerians With Magnus Hyacinth on Episode 3

Like I've earlier stated, that it is a collective effort of every person, organizations and groups, both in the government and also in the non-governmental outlook, because this is a task that needs to be awarded utmost priority to ensure that sanctity returns to the Nigerian political and electoral platform.

First, the National Sensor Board should as a matter of duty, propagate the same sensitization approach to all bodies and organs under its auspices, especially to the 'Nollywood home videos', the musical videos, musical songs and their lyrics, should be properly and strictly censored. And any movie, music or video that should be released must pass the censorship test and review of the National Censorship Board as may be directed by the Ministry of Communication, before it can be granted access into the Nigerian society.  Laws should also be enacted to checkmate the excesses of the entertainment industries on the need that any movie, or music video which does not portray good image and picture of  our country shall be banned; as many of the movies and music videos all around our country for sometime now, display of  characters and images that have contributed to the swift decadence of our moral values, such as nudity, rape, thuggery, cultism, as well as high-rate of religious fanaticism, which has over-time led to insecurity and terrorism in our country.

The social media, which is envisioned as the fastest and easiest means of  communication, has become the bane of propagating and disseminating of vices , as pornography and nudity has become rife in recent times, rather than introducing positive values to the society, through the aid of sound academic learning and research, it has led to the debasing of the sacredness of human being. Thereby exposing our young people, as well as some of the ill-minded adults into some sorts of danger and life threatening situations, as many have lost their lives through this ugly trend, it is quite sad to say.

Therefore, the Ministry of communication as a matter of urgency should adopt the same kind of strategy as was done in China, to step up measures towards infusing a blockade on the Nigerian internet base against any access to pornography or uploading of pornographic photos on the social media, as this will restore sanity and good morals in our society.

Also, strict rules should be put in place to guide as well as scrutinize the art of journalism in our country; since it is not a gainsaying to infer that some journalists are more or less have become tools for spreading false and nefarious information, which only demeans the ethics and principles of this noble profession. Many of them have failed to carry out truthful and fair journalism both in print and in the broadcasting arena. To ensure sanity in this sector towards building a robust and corrupt free nation as we envision for our dear country, then  workshops and seminars must be frequently organised to sensitize the young and upcoming journalists on the need to avoid the spread of malicious information.

  5. I love this post okay, and I'm sure every well meaning Nigeria will stand by this , because the some of the media units have gone astray over the years, as the report things that are based on false allegations. Even the Nigerian movie industries and music have been clouded by nudity and sorts of vices that only abuse the human sanctity and morals. It's high time this issue is addressed, and that time is now. God bless you Ymz blog

  6. Obviously, you are correct on this, a lot have gone wrong through the movie we're displayed here in Nigeria, the youths no longer value or imbibe good morals, all we see in our movies and music videos everyday is obscene nudity and the young people seem to be following it, as they think it's what ought to be. But with this kind of lectures, I think it this idea will be wiped out of their heads, and the nation will get better again

  14. I can't imagine the last time I watched these so called Nigerian movies all because of the uncensored nature at which nude scenes floods it , unlike the late 90's when it was a show of moral and model. This must be done else we continue to wallow in these plethora of anomalies.

  15. Nigeria is a country is that is divided among several things, that is to say we are diversified in many ways, but we can also speak with one voice and achieve greatness, after all it is said that in diversity comes strength. I'm sure we will get better, it takes honesty.

  16. I know that if we all get our acts together and agree with one voice, sincerely, we shall get Nigeria to the place we all envision but one thing with our people is anyone that gets to the point where he/she is disposable to amassing the nations wealth, such person gets clouded by the wealth and throws morals and patriotism to the gutters, that is our problem.

But I'm sure that with the few number of persons that are willing to make this change, we shall achieve it together someday.
