Shocking News: Burkina Faso Anti-government Protesters Set National Parliament Ablaze At The Country's Capital In Ouagadougou

Burkina Faso anti-govt protesters set the Parliamentary house on fire

This is shocking as it leaves the scene with a bizarre picture, owing to the manner at which the Anti-government Protesters in Burkina Faso set the country's National Parliament building ablaze today.

This incident was said to have occurred following the on-going decision by the country's parliament members to take a review of the country's constitution to grant their long-serving President of 27-year rule another extension in office. It was said that the Parliamentary wa supposed to hold an election among them to decide whether the constitution should be amended in the favour of the extension so that the President can continue with his leadership.

 Parliament house on fire,..

Report that I obtained has shown that President Blaise Compaore, has been in the office of the Presidency since 1987 owing to the coup he plotted against the then ruling government, and according to the citizens, he is supposed to vacate the office before the next year's general elections, but he seems quite intoxicated with power.

This is the life of some leaders, as they seek power by all means, without knowing that power does not rest with no one forever. It was reported that one person have so far died in the protest

In the word of one of the protesters, it states thus;

We did this because Blaise was trying to stay too long. We are tired of him. We want a change. He must go!”

After the protesting and fire incident, the Parliament had earlier suspended the intended constitution amendment, and as it stands now, tranquility and calmness is returning in the country.
