Nice One By Dangote Group As They Slash Prices Of Cement Down From N1700 To N1000

Dangote Cement prices is now reduced considerably

This is a great news and as well quite cool for all builders, because this will enhance more and effective building within the country. You must be glad to know that Dangote group of companies have slashed the price of cement  from N1700 to N1000. This price reduction is at 41%, which is almost average. At this point, cement is sold at N1000, with VAT exclusive.  As it stands now, the 50kg bag of 32.5 grade is selling at just N1000, while the 50kg bag of 42.5 grade is sold at N1,150.

So this has really been harmonised , unlike the same price tag of N1700 for both higher and lower quality cement bags that was witnessed in the past.

This new price strategy was announced by the Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement 'Mr. Devakumar Edwin, in his statement saying;

“We recognise the need for a dramatic increase in the response to the huge infrastructure and housing deficit in the country, and one of the ways of addressing the issue is bringing the price of building materials down to much more affordable levels, especially cement, which is within our own control as part of our contribution to the transformation agenda of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration and the attainment of key milestones in the Millennium Development Goals.”

This is a welcome development, at least people can hiss a sigh of relief over cement in the country, and buildings will be made to be quite strong and to the standards set.
