David Arquette has a new crib, and while it's not quite what we'd expect the eccentric actor to scoop up, it certainly is fancy! According to Dirt, David splashed out $7,150,000 for this historic 9,708-square-foot home in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles last month. The O'Melveny house was built by famed architects Hunt, Eager & Burns for attorney Henry O'Melveny, and it's actually a registered Los Angeles Cultural Monument!.....
The home, which was built in 1908, sits on .74 acres of land and has 7
bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Though the kitchen and pool are a little bit
more on the modern side, every other room in the house shows off results
of the painstaking restoration process, and it's quite impressive.
There's a lush lawn on the property, a fire pit, a meditation pond, a
pool and a spa, and according to listing info, it's an "absolute
treasure in the heart of Los Angeles."
There are hand-crafted
mahogany doors at the entry, and from the wood-paneled foyer to the
elegant formal dining room, this is a traditional masterpiece. The
master bedroom has two closets, and given the size of the place, David
and lady love Christina McLarty will have plenty of space should they
decide to expand their family. (She gave birth to the couple's first
child in late April)!
