eBay crashes for the second time this month - leaving SEVEN-HOUR phone complaints queue


Thousands of customers couldn’t log in to buy or sell their items for more than five hours. The online auction website eBay crashed again today - for the second time this month. Furious sellers took to Twitter to express their anger.Thousands couldn’t log in to buy and sell their items for over five hours. And one punter who tried to call eBay to complain was told there was a queue of more than seven hours. Greg Mitchell tweeted: “eBay still down after 4 hours--epic fail--in just world, beginning of end for them and rise of competitor.”

And John Tayne said: “So eBay having issues for the 2nd time this month....can’t log in...very annoyed.” The problem appeared to be a worldwide issue affecting both the website and apps. A spokesman for eBay said: “We’re actively investigating a technical issue that is impacting eBay for some users. "We understand that this issue has also resulted in some customers having difficulty contacting our customer service teams. “We are working to fix the issue now and apologise for any inconvenience.”
