Photos: President "GEJ" honors Nigerian flag designer, puts him on lifetime salary

The man who designed the Nigeria flag, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi was decorated as an Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, OFR, by President  Goodluck Ebele Jonathan "GEJ" yesterday being the  September 29th, exactly 55 years after designing the flag.

He wasn't only given an award today, president Jonathan also said he will be placed on a lifetime salary that must be in line with what any Senior Special Advisers earns.

Since the design of the Nigerian flag, no government has ever thought it wise to recognize this designer,  "Pa Akinkunmi  with a national Honour or a Lifetime Salary, except President Googluck Jonathan who just did right in his own regime.  So happy for him.
