Mikhail B. Khodorkovsky, formerly Russia’s richest man, speaking in Kiev, Ukraine, in March
The report reaching to us has it that Mikhali B. Khodorkovsky who is known for his feat in the world of oil world has made his return into Russia after being in prison for a decade and one-year following the rise to political power of Vladimir Putin as the President of Russia.
According to report, it was said that Mr. Mikhali B. Khodorkovsky had been away from Russian political and social view for Eleven solid years, after he made a historic return to Russian public sphere for some time now, and he also decided to make a public display of himself, after a decade and one-year of being Russia’s most famous political dissident under President Vladimir Putin's prison camps. If you take times back a little before his incarceration, you will realize that he used to look a little bit younger , unlike now, as he looks a little older with gray-hairs. Well, like the saying always goes " Man gets older with time"
Suddenly, he has made a vow never to relent or give up the fight to ensure that he liberates Russian federation from the type of political system they're being subjected to, which he termed "Putinism"
In his words to an audience of American admirers at a dinner sponsored by the advocacy organization Freedom House on Wednesday night, in his first speech in the United States since being released from prison last year. He said “Russia has been wasting time these past 10 years,”
“Now is when we must begin to make up this lost time.”
Mr. Mikhali B. Khodorkovsky, who is 51 and currently lives in Switzerland, without losing much of his fortune and empires that he built over the years through his hard-work, leading to him owing the largest private oil company, 'Yukos' in Russia. He's working on re-establishing his charity foundation known as" Open Russia" positioned to support the civil society in his hoe country. And recently, he has placed himself the leader of the renewed opposition intent on replacing Mr. Putin and bringing European-style democracy to Russia.
He stated that bring in prison taught him nothing more than how to be patience. He also said “You look at time differently,” he said. “Ten years for me is not a long time.”
We wish him well in his new political ideology as long as as it will be to the well-being of the entire Russian people and the rest of the World at large..
I'm glad this man is out of prison because I know he'll surely get Russia reconciled with other European countries, whose relationship with Russian federation has tend to grow soured over these years due to the cold relationship gesture Putin has displayed over these years towards them, and more son to the countries from the West like the US.
ReplyDeleteOh! I've heard about Yukos Oil, wow! so that's the person behind such a multi-national oil company? He must be a Billionaire.. Just hope he'll use his wealth to help the downtrodden just as he stated in the post I read here.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, most of these billionaires are not as supportive as they may always say. But I do hope and believe that when Mr. Mikhail B. Khodorkovsky succeeds in getting into the political office as he has said here, he will be able to fulfill his promises.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's good he's freed from his incarceration at last. Just wish him all the best.
ReplyDeleteGood for him jare--- what did he do to get jail sentence from the incumbent president?
ReplyDeleteJust don't wanna what happenened that he was sent to prison, but I feel as a billionaire, he should be able to at least be granted pardon knowing that he'd have gotten a lot in his payroll so these kind of people don't deserve to be kept away for too long, else so many people's fate would suffer. Gld he's free at last anyways..
ReplyDeleteYou mean this Billionaire was put behind bars for a decade, and he's looking so fresh a this? They must be arch rivals you know.

ReplyDeleteI think most times people always feel that having money could give them the prerogative to always act in ways that may seem unethical, I'm not indicting this oil magnate as this post may tag him, but I'm just saying that the reason he was sent to prison may boil down or emanate from some acts which may have countered the dignity of and human rights of other people there in his country. Obviously, he couldn't have been sent to prison for nothing you know. but all the same good for him that he's out ..
ReplyDeleteFrom what I read here it seems this man was a rival of President Vladimir Putin, since he talks about exterminating what he termed 'Putinism' I think it means all about Putin's philosophy and ideologies on the Russian terrain. Does it means Putin is being hard-headed and strict with his leadership ideologies?
ReplyDeleteYukos Oil owner said prison did change him in the path of knowing how to exercise patience, well, that's a great testimony right there, and i'm sure any real man who's been in one ordeal or the other should be able to learn some lessons through it, else that person may be termed as foolish
ReplyDeleteEleven years of being in prison, such a long year. well there is nothing more beautiful as freedom. I'm sure he'd never wanna visit there anymore, even though like he said that it taught him how to be patience. Wishing him well.
ReplyDeletewhat was the crime this billionaire man committed that made him being sent away for this long? Or was it just a political misdemeanor?
ReplyDeleteWho ever said money is not good hasn't made enough yet.. Money is the strength of this man, after eleven of being behind bars, look at how cool he still looks. May God let me have this money too, Amen.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone notice the sweat on Mr Mikhail's shirt, does it mean his first public speech after his release from prison lasted for eternity? he's just looking stressed up, let him go take some time and cool off, before he jumps into politics battling.
ReplyDeleteAll the best in your ambition, so far it's all good.
