Selena Gomez Wants Us To Know Oscar Wilde Is On Her Summer Reading List

Selena Gomez wasn't in the mood to smile for photographers on Friday afternoon when she went to the recording studio, but she did flash us a peek at the Oscar Wilde book she's currently reading! The Importance of Being Earnest is a farcical comedy which is Wilde's last (and most famous) play, and it's about two men living in 19th century England who invent a character named Earnest to add some excitement to their lives. However, when the two women they're trying to woo fall for the fictitious Earnest, trouble (and hilarity) ensues.

The play was adapted into a movie in 2002 starring Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, Reese Witherspoon and Judi Dench ... perhaps someone's doing a remake and casting Selena in the Reese role? Or does she want us to know that she's more than just Justin Bieber's bae? We're curious to know what's going on with this!
