Shocking News: Liberian woman found hanging in Lagos

News making round all through the have been a Liberian womanwho was found hanging on a tree at the wee hours  of today September 12th at Bankole Street, in Isheri-Oke, Lagos State of Nigeria. The information reaching us was that she has been identified as a Liberian woman simply called by the name Kate.

According to Punch Newspaper; the woman was a worker in a Table-Water Factory until the time of her suicidal death. A resident of the area said people in the area began keeping arms-length from her owing to the Ebola outbreak that was confirmed in Lagos State last Month, which according to information, the Ebola Disease was brought into Nigeria  by a Liberian. As a result of this, people began staying far from her, as she falls ill, all with the fear that she may be suffering from the deadly virus 'Ebola' since it's synonymous with Liberians as the principal carriers. So this worsened her situation, as there was no one to come to her help, and that led to her committing suicide.

"We do see  her in this neighborhood every day. I used to see her every day in the dress she died in. She always looked sick but people stopped selling to her after the Ebola outbreak. It could be because she was Liberian and looked sickly. This might have frustrated her.”  a resident of that Area told us... This is so sad!
