Kenneth Okonkwo joins 2015 political race
The ever-smiling and talented veteran actor of the Nollywood movie industries "Kenneth Okonkwo" has lately expressed worries over the turn of events at the 2015 general elections that is barely few months away. This top actor had sometime ago made his intention known to all his fans as well the entire Nigerian people that he is interested to run for a seat in the House Of Representatives in the general elections which is slated to take place 2015.
He said that because of the first ever movie he featured in titled Living In Bondage, released in 1991, where he was referred to as 'Andy Okeke' this has made it difficult for the people to call him by his real names 'Kenneth Okonkwo' and this may impose great danger on the chances of him being voted by people at the forthcoming elections. He said it's obvious that the electorates may be looking for where they wrote 'Andy' instead of 'Kenneth Okonkwo', and it will amount to less votes for him.
He therefore said that he shall embark on sensitization campaign to restore his real names before the people, to avoid this impending danger.
In his words, he says; “I will have to sensitize the voters and make sure that they are familiar with the name Kenneth Okonkwo and not Andy before the general election.”
Kenneth Okonkwo is now on the list of Nigerian entertainers that have joined the league of politics this time, and it seems he will be contesting under the platform of the ruling People's Democratic Party [PDP] on behalf of Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2015.
After obtianing his contestant's form, he immediately went to his online Campaign site to make a post saying;
“Join me in thanking God for assisting me obtain my nomination form of our great party PDP to contest for the House of Representatives to represent Nsukka/ Igboeze South Federal Constituency. To Him be all the glory.”
He's such a great and talented gentleman, and I hope that he'l emerge winner in the election. I wish you Kenneth Okonkwo the very best of luck.
