Yahoo Boys Have Been Assigned To 7-years In Jail By The Senate If Convicted

Cyber scam and its related offences titled "yahoo! yahoo!!"

This report is so true as many people out there may think that it was one of those mere talks by the Nigerian Senate. This time, it is so true and real, because just last week, the Nigerian Senate passed a bill stating categorically that anyone caught in the act of cyber crimes or related offences popularly known as "Yahoo Yahoo" shall face a jail term of 7-years or pay a fine of N7million as bail-out fee.

This law is about getting entrenched into the nation's constitution, and therefore threatens anyone who is spotted in the act of any form of cyber crime or its related offences such as doing online pornography, internet frauds, online forgery, ATM Card scam, and all other internet scams. It was noted that this bill was at its second hearing, and will soon be passed into law.

Any one convicted of cyber-crime stands a 7-year jail term with an option of N7million, while any person convicted of any internet offence which is relating to the violation of critical national information infrastructure attracts a 10-year jail term with no option of fine, while 15-year jail term to anyone who is found guilty of any of these crimes, which may in the sake of happenstance cause a harm to another individual.  Lastly, for cyber cafe owners who aid and abett this acts, when convicted shall face a 3-year jail term with an option of N2million fine.

Therefore, it is to your own interest if you are in any of these categories to desist from these acts or risk going to spend some good solid years behind bars, I mean you know what that can do to anybody in there. A word is enough for the wise, that is my humble advice to you all out there.
