The veteran actress and Nollywood star "Liz Benson'  who received a lifetime award by Gov. Rotimi Amaechi, at the 2014 BON Awards has called on the Nollywood stars to forgive and forget all that happened at the just concluded Best Of Nollywood Award ceremony held in Port-Harcourt recently, especially the presumed insults and abuse rained on them by the Hosting Governor, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi. She told them that instead of getting worried and downcast , they should see it as one of those challenges to enable them move higher in their careers.

She spoke to them by quoting some few verses from the Bible, as saying;

 “whatever your hand findeth to do, do it well.” Noting that it is not about what people will say that matters. “Don’t look at what men say, but what you know and what God says, whatever your hand findeth doing, do it well. It is the grace of God that has brought me this far.”

The Nollywood stars said they were mocked and ridiculed by Governor Amaechi by calling them "products of circumstances" and also saying that many of them are in the acting profession all because  they were not able to find good jobs that could fit their academic qualifications.
