The Ekiti state house of Assembly has carried out the impeachment of its Speaker 'Adewale Omirin' . This is made possible as seven Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] members of Ekiti State House of Assembly were reported to have sat in the absence of the speaker to impeach him, while replacing him with another member of the house.
Going by the report I gathered, it seems the Police then prevented the Speaker and 19 other members from coming into the Assembly complex while the impeachment process was being held.
