Nigerian Scientist In University of Edinburgh, England reveals Many Nigerians stand the risk of High blood pressure

It has reported by some Nigerian scientist in the University of Edinburgh, England that one in every four persons in Nigeria is at risk of High blood pressure.  High Blood pressure which is a leading factor in the cause of stroke, kidney and heart diseases  is revealed to be twice as high in Nigeria as can be compared with other African countries, and not many persons are aware that they have this problem.


According to their report, this condition will rise steeply if many Nigerians continue to live like Westerners, thereby ignoring their own natural way of livelihood. Only in 2010 , it was reported that over 20-million persons in Nigeria had this disease condition, and it is has been predicted that it will rise to 39-million by 2030 with the level at which it's going.

At the moment, this findings from the University of Edinburgh, England have been published in the Journal of Hypertension”. This is the first Nationwide estimate that has proved how much this High Blood Pressure has affected Nigerians. It is very troublesome.
