An elderly Statesman, and former Senate President, Chief Joseph Wayas, has stated categorically that if eventually Muhammadu Buhari emerges the President of the Country come 2015, then it doesn't spell anything good for the Nigerian people and democracy other than backwardness, because Buhari does not understand what democracy truly portrays and having him as the President will only amount to a total death.
He stated that Nigeria has made some progress in our teen year of democracy, even though it's not been easy, and it should not be expected to be easy, even Life itself cannot be perfect, but we are sure have made an outstanding success so far.
He also frowned at the countless comments that is made by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo against President Jonathan, stating that it would not help the nation, because President Jonathan is doing his best, and that Obasanjo should leave him to concentrate and run the affairs of the nation without any distractions.
You can read more in the interview with Sun News, where Senator Wayas stated that before now, democracy hasn't been truly felt by Nigerians, owing to the selfish rulings of the past administrations, but at this point of President Goodlucks era, it is becoming more understandable and strong,and as well felt by all the citizens, therefore it is a sign of progress, and Goodluck Jonathan should be allowed to continue come 2015.
