Following the autobiography book called My Watch released by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, a lot of reactions and counter reactions have been generated since the release of the book. Many have condemned the notion of the controversial piece while some others have applauded it as well.

Oh yes, you don;t expect the same reactions from everybody, as people are distinct in character and ideology as well as different sense of reasoning and judgment, but in all, it will always be granted to those who are very discerning in their opinion.

Going by the launch of My Watch which was authored by the former President, Obasanjo, the former governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba, has made a statement rejecting Obasanjo's claim that he never canvassed for a third term bid to rule as Nigerian President. But Osoba, sid that it was a blatant lie from Obasanjo, that he was actually the one that initiated that idea of trying to enact a law that will see him to run for the position of the President for the 3rd time, which against the stipulated second term as was enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.

Chief Olusegun Osoba, said that Obasanjo was as that time pleading with the leadership of the now rested Alliance for Democracy (AD) and its governors to give him their support to run for the post of the President for the third term.

Osoba through his statement on Vanguard News, stated that  “We (AD governors) told him that we were not the founding fathers of AD. We told Abraham Adesanya but he said he would never go to Abuja. He later agreed that he would meet us at the presidential lodge. Abraham Adesanya never met him at Abuja but at the slightest notice Obasanjo came to Abuja. Adesanya told him (Obasanjo) that he heard he was going to ambush us (AD governors). Present that day was Bishop Gbonigi, the Awujale and Cornelius.”

Many have come out to condemn the piece of writing put out by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, saying that the intent of that autobiography is mired in lies and malice.
