Tanzania President Sacks Minister For Land And Housing, Anna Tibaijuka For Corrupt Practices

The President of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete, was yesterday reported to have sacked some of the Ministers in his cabinet following allegation of bribe and corruption. The Minister for Land and Housing, Anna Tibaijuka was among those that was reported to have been indicted in this misdemeanor.


 It was said that she collected a $1million bribe from a businessman which was connected with the transferring of the illegitimate sum of $120 million of the money that is for the public to a company that deals on energy in 2013.

It was said that the President revealed his decision to fire the Minister for Land and Housing, on the grounds that she was very weak and such got hoodwinked into playing into such a distasteful act of accepting a bribe of $1 million for her self, despite that fact the funds were meant for charity projects.

On this note, the Energy Permanent Secretary Eliakim Maswi was also Suspended until investigation has been carried to ascertain all the facts regarding to this corrupt practice.
