Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians political office holders especially the Governors, Ministers and law makers never to arrogate to them or anyone the grace or of sweeping out of Ebola Virus disease out the Nigerian surface, as it was to the ultimate cooperation and doggedness of all Nigerians that this EVD was contained in this shortest possible time.
The amiable president of Nigeria stated this on the 16th of October, 2014 as he was receiving the Executives of a particular Charity Foundation at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In his exact words, Mr. President stated thus;
"I am quiet pleased with what is happening because I believe that government alone cannot solve human problems and anything done by government when you involve the private sector and civil societies, it is always better.
In my humble opinion, I think Mr President is very right, because it took the unanimous cooperation of the entire Nigerians to ensure that the Ebola Virus Disease is eradicated from the Nigerian ground. This began when the epidemic was announced to have ensued through contact with animals and humans that are already infected, so everybody then became very much careful as the things they do with each other, as well as the washing of hands by everyone as often as necessary since it's through the constant cleaning and sanitation of self and environment that will quicken the total wipe out of this deadly Ebola Virus; And God willing, this disease was contained at last.
Therefore, just as Mr. President have said, I think no one should take the credit of getting Ebola out of the country, rather it is to the uncommon attitude of every Nigerian that this breakthrough was achieved.
