US Government To Carry Out Proper Health Screening Test On Travelers Coming In From West African Ebola Hit Countries

A woman @JFK Airport, where temperature checks of arrivals are carried out.

This information was passed across earlier on by the US government over the death of a Liberian Mr. Duncan who is residing in America on Wednesday. It was gathered that Mr. Duncan flew from the Liberia, which is one of the  West African worst hit country by Ebola Virus Disease without proper health scrutiny been placed on him as he arrived the JFK airport, and after few days, he was reported to have ran for a medical test in a hospital following a feeling of temperature rise,  and it was then confirmed that he has possible symptoms of Ebola virus disease. Then he was immediately isolated by the team of health workers in the from his Dallas home to an Ebola Isolation center, where he was administered treatment, and unfortunately, he never survived the disease, as he passed on on Wednesday  the 8th October, 2014 after about a 10-days of Ebola detection.

Prior to this ugly incident, the  federal health in the US have therefore made it a compulsory policy that temperature checks must be placed at the five major United States airports for people that may be coming in from the West African countries that are worst hit by EVD. According to heath experts, this procedure will go a long way to calm the already perplexed masses than to even prevent the many people with Ebola from getting into the country.

With this measure in place, at least the possible infection of more person by EVD will be less if not zero. In as much as this concept would have been put in place earlier than no, but owing to the fact that some people thought it's unnecessary to waste the little resources in the country for such a project which may not be of any importance, not until this time that it's starring on the faces of the everyone in the US that strict measures especially on adopting the temperature checks at its airports must be maintained.

It was said that many people have criticized Mr President over the outbreak of this Ebola Virus Disease in the American soil, due to his laxity in maintaining appropriate security health checks in and around the country. This criticism is mostly credited to those belonging to the Republican Party, while Senator Ted Cruz have earlier suggested that entrance should not be granted to travelers coming into the American ground from West Africa, but the President Obama's administration rejected such a strict rule.
Dr. Thomas R. Frienden, Director for the centers for Disease Control and Prevention, had earlier rejected calls on the possible ban of travelers from the West African countries

Rising from this EVD issue, Mr President made a conference call with state and local officials Wednesday afternoon, stating that he's very confident in the measures already put on ground to fight the possible spread of EVD further in the country and as well admonished them to be vigilant in the days and weeks ahead.

“As we saw in Dallas, we don’t have a lot of margin for error,” Mr. Obama told the group, according to a transcript released by the White House. “If we don’t follow protocols and procedures that are put in place, then we’re putting folks in our communities at risk.”

We pray that this particular measure of temperature check will stem the possible spread of this Ebola in the United States. This is our prayer.

  2. why would the country be hit by Ebola Virus, when the government can only run to danger zone when it's already happened , instead of to put in proactive measure in check at all times, to ensure that the possibility of being hit by incidence like this EVD is averted. we hope that it doesn't get spread more than it is now.
