United Kingdom Government Returns £6.8Million Of Ex-Governor Of Delta State 'James Ibori's Loot To Nigeria

The United Kingdom government has returned an additional sum of £6.8Million belonging to the embattled ex-governor of Delta state 'James Ibori' from his loot which he remitted to some of the banks abroad during his stay in office.

The UK Metropolitan Police Senior Investigator 'Mr Rupert Broad' made this revealed on November 4th, 2014 in London. It is said that out of the £8 million confiscated from James Ibori, so far about £1.2million have been returned to the Nigerian government.


Report has it that an additional of £80 million have been temporarily confiscated from Ibori, and the hearing on the verdict that will decide whether this money is to returned to the Nigerian government has been fixed for April, 2015.

At the moment, James Ibori is still serving jail term  after being sentenced to 13-years by the British Crown Court in April, 2012 , after being of money laundering and fraud.
