It was such a great movie to watch, as it centers on violence that an African girl child called Halima, who is 13 years old, and was forcefully married off to Sani, a 60 year old man  by her parents, who are poverty stricken, and uneducated.

This supposed husband of hers, ceaselessly violated her by the act of forceful sexual affairs, alas, she becomes pregnant, and delivers of a baby, after which she got burdened by a disease known as Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF). This ugly situation led to her being abandoned by both her parents, who got her engaged in this ugly state, her husband, Sani, as well as the society where she finds herself.

She henceforth suffers the stigma of excommunication, as life became so unbearable for her, until she was met by a young female doctor, Zara, who seem to have had similar experience in her life, and she took it upon herself to salvage her from that life-threatening disease.
