Assassination Story Of President Jonathan Is Refuted By MEND #SupportGEJ2015

Following the assassination attempt which President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) revealed in a PDP rally in Lagos on Thursday, stating that the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) had on two occasion made an attempt to eliminate him, through its leader, Henry Okah, who's in right now serving terms in a prison in South Africa.

President GEJ revealed that it was in 2010 when this assassination attempt was made on his life,  as the said Henry Okah was paid to kill him.

But an ex-militant  general, Godsday Smith, alias Bouninawei (the god of the forest) made known to newsmen in Warri the capital city of Delta State yesterday, that President GEJ's belief that an assissination attempt would be made on his life was quite hasty and not properly circumspected.

Godsday, said that the Niger Delta militants who are really agitating for the common good of all those within that region wouldn't have gone to that extent of wanting to eliminate its own, so he claims that such notion that a plot was put in place to assasinate him was not true, rather it was misjudged.

In his statement obtained on Vanguard News, Godsday said, “MEND  views the President, Goodluck Jonathan’s recent campaign rally speech as the most outrageous and ridiculous speech by any President, where he openly accused Mr Henry Okah of being paid to assassinate him.”

He further stated that Niger-Deltans would always lend their weight towards the support of their own son and brother, who is President GEJ, rather than to Buhari who is from the far North. So such statement by President Jonathan about an attempt to his life by MEND is not true.
