FIFA In Disagreement Of Corruption Over Russia And Qatar Bid To Host 2018 And 2022 World Cups #FIFAWorldFootball

Sepp Blatter, FIFA President

Following the corruption which was being perceived by the top US lawyer Michael Garcia, who is FIFA's leading Corruption Investigator, the World football governing body has therefore convened for a meeting to discuss the situation.

It was confirmed that Garcia tendered his resignation letter, after presenting a report which he affirms to be corrupt, but was scrapped out by FIFA judge Hans-Joachim Eckert, that no such practice was been seen concerning the award of the 2018 and 2022 world cup bids by Russia and Qatar respectively.

Qatar is spotted from Garcia's investigative report as being at the centre of the corrupt act, but it is said that it has denied of being involved in any such practice as concerning the campaign bid for the 2022 world cup.

Sepp Blatter, the FIFA President, on Thursday stated that this issue shall be deliberated in a two-day executive meeting in Marrakech, which will constitute 25-member executive committee.

Due to the resignation of Garcia, many have stood in criticism of the FIFA's leadership integrity, stating that it's not diligent and honest, while some others have countered such statements as well, because of the fact that Sepp Blatter insisted that the report of corruption presented by Garcia will not be published for legal reasons.

Meanwhile, Garcia has sought for an appeal over that report which was dismissed by Eckert, but FIFA's leadership refused to grant that, saying that it is not essential. As a result of this UEFA President, Michel Platini, who has been the strongest opposition FIFA's President, therefore called for Sepp Blatter to hands-off the leadership move as soon as his tenure elapses in May, 2015.

But from the information I gathered, Blatter 78, is stll much interested to vie for that same post again , which will be the fifth term of him going into that exalted position as the President of FIFA , and it is likely he will win, because he seem to be the favourite of all.
