Former Governor Of Anambra State Peter Obi Says Buhari Is Too Old To Be President

Former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi

The former governor of Anambra State, Dr Peter Obi stated that Muhammadu Buhari is too old, and he is not exactly what Nigerians need at this time. Peter Obi, who is the Deputy Director General (South), for the Goodluck Jonathan's presidential campaign organisation, said that Buhari is 72 years, which makes him a grandfather, so he cannot be fit to lead Nigeria as the President.

In an interview he granted to Vanguard News, Peter Obi said that Buhari scuttled a democratically elected government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari, some 31 years ago, to become a military dictator, while he was at that time 41 years and young. He further said that even though Buhari at that time tried to project discipline in the Nigerian nation, which later collapsed, but that wouldn't be the reason to enforce him on Nigerians this time around.

He said many countries in the past have had several good leaders, for which USA is one of them , in the like of Bill Clinton, even though his administration was one of the best, yet the United States didn't ask him to come back and continue in the office of leadership, because he has done his best at that time when he was younger, and therefore should leave the seat for other young people who still possess the leadership prowess to lead this country.

He therefore believed that the Goodluck Jonathan's leadership should be allowed to continue because it's one of the good administration Nigeria is witnessing in this present democratic era.
