Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria's former President
Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun yesterday while receiving the South-West women leaders at his residence in Abeokuta, stated that President Goodluck Jonathan was not able to make judicious use of the $55 billion proceeds of the crude oil that his administration left in the nation's treasury.
Obasanjo also stated that the immediate past President, Musa Yar’Adua, who died while serving in office, also left about $35 billion and all these monies were squandered by Goodluck's administration is deeply steeped in corruption, as it is filled with no punishments and consequences of ills at all.
The ex president further revealed that the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's administrations also misused the $40 billion of the nation's Foreign Reserve account, and that during his administration, the foreign reserve was elevated to $60 billion but at this moment, it has tripped up drastically, to the bewilderment of every Nigeria that US dollar is now exchanged for about N197.
He maintained that it was as a result of frivolous spending by President Jonathan that is leading the nation's economy to its shrink right now.
