3-Suspected Kidnappers Die As Police Engage In A Gun Battle With The Gang In Anambra State

Suspected kidnappers caught by the SARS men in Anambra state

It has been reported that yesterday being the 9th of November, 2014, a gang of suspected kidnappers engaged in a gun battle with the Anambra state Police Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, which led to the killing of 3-members of the gang, and the kidnapped victim whose names are 'Mrs Edith Maduekwe was rescued by the Police.

According to a close source, Mrs Edith Maduekwe was said to be kidnapped by these men of the underworld on the 4th of October, at the Oba village in Idemili South LGA, and fortunately for her, she got rescued at an erosion site in Oraukwu in Idemili North LGA all in Anambra state, meanwhile the family of this woman had already paid the sum N1.4 million ransom to these kidnappers already.


When these suspected kidnappers were paraded yesterday by the SARS, the Police Public Relations Officer of Anambra state 'Mr. Uche Ezeh' revealed that the gang leader whose names are 'Charlie Parker' has been on the Police list as a wanted person for the past 4-years; but luck ran out on him and his gang following a tip-off to the State SARS Commander 'Mr James Nwafor' that these group of evil men were around the neighborhood, and immediately a Chief Superintendent of Police was authorized to lead his SARS men after the gang at Okpoko, a place where they gather to share their loot, and on sighting them, these kidnappers opened fire at them, but unfortunately, they were not able to make away, leading to their apprehension, while three others were killed in the gun battle .



Items recovered from there are  N776, 000, one AK-47 rifle with 90 rounds of ammunition one pump action gun and 10 live cartridges, assorted charms and other weapons.
