A Roman Catholic Priest Joins Politics, Set To Contest For The 2015 Governorship Race In Cross-River State

Fr Francis Woro joins Politics to run for governorship race

This is another wonder as many things that seemed so uncommon is happening in recent times! It is all about a Roman Catholic Priest joining the political race to contest for the post of a Governor in Cross-River state.

This Priest who goes by the names 'Rev. Fr. Francis Agantem Eworo' from the Ogoja Diocese in Cross River state, declared his interest to run for this post in the  general elections of 2015 under the aegis of Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] , with vision to empower and get the Youths into a good stands when elected, as well as many other plans that he has in his manifesto.

According to my report, Rev. Father Francis Eworo stated that he has been involved with political matters right from 1999 under the PDP and  he was ordained a Catholic Priest in 1977, in which he has served in various Parishes which cut across Ogoja, Ikom, Uruan, Calabar, and Akwa Ibom State.

It is not practically good for a Clergy to get actively involved in Political matters, because there is no true morals in that field, I do hope that he should know better, to avoid makig mockery of the Church.
