Wonders shall never cease, and they say bad thing always trigger laughter you know! Oh yeah, this is very true that a Nigerian lawyer has been arraigned in court for allegedly killing fowl, and destroying about 19-eggs in the process.
This lawyer is a 38-year old man, and goes by the name Hajiya Hamamatu Manu, was charged to Gudu Upper Area Court in the FCT, Abuja, this crime stated herein above.
The prosecutor in the name of Inspector Emmanuel Edet, said before the court that Terhemen Kolum of Zone B, Apo area, Abuja, reported the matter at the Apo Police Station on Nov. 4., saying that the accused also destroyed the brick with which the birds' house were built in September, 2014.
At the moment, the complainant said that the damages resulting from these destruction by the said lawyer is in the tune of N25,000.
It was further stated according to the Prosecutor that the offence contravened Section 329 of the Penal Code. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. Meanwhile the Counsel to the accused 'Mr Sanni Dawaki' gave a bail application in his client's favor and the bail was quickly granted because of self-recognition, since he was a lawyer.
Mr Sanni Dawaki then told the court that his client will not jump the bail bond, which then made the presiding Judge admitted the bail, and then adjourned the case for further hearing until December 17th, 2014.
