The former Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, Dr Samuel Ortom, has emerged the All Progressive Congress gubernatorial candidate after defection from Peoples' Democratic Party(PDP) to APC.
The emergency of Dr Samuel, has engendered a lot counter reactions by the APC loyalist, as they have since yesterday displayed their disenchantment over the resolution of the Party.
Some of them that stated their grievances and lost of hope in the APC over the selection of Dr Samuel Ortom, were of the view that it is a wrong step as it has created an air of despondency in the entire party, since there have been several loyalists who should have been granted the ticket to run as the governorship candidate, instead of the former Minister who has just defected a night ago.
Many of the members of the APC believe that such resolution doesn't depict patriotism, as it lacks precision in the judgment of the party.
