Rtd. General Muhammadu Buhari, the winner of APC Presidential Primary elections
Retired General Muhammadu Buhari has finally emerged the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate after the party's primary election which began yesterday in Lagos, and come to a successful conclusion today.
Just nearly 48 hours of Presidential Primaries, that had 5 contestants in the race, such as, former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, Governors Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano state and Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Sam Nda-Isaiah , who is the publisher of Leadership newspapers, and then the winner, Muhammadu Buhari, himself.
From the election result announced on air few minutes ago, Buhari pulled over 5,000 votes to secure the presidential ticket of the party.
And immediately, the second run up in the election, Atiku Abubakar, congratulated Gen Buhari over his victory, and pledged his support to ensure that he comes out victorious in the main Presidential elections come 2015 against the incumbent President, Goodluck Jonathan.
