Nigerians Say FG Fails To Give Detail Of 2015 Budget To The Citizenry

Finance Minister, Okonjo Iweala presenting the 2015 budget to the National Assembly

Many Nigerians have been asking questions as to whether the Federal Government will not make the 2015 budget known in details to the citizenry since the Finance Minister and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has already presented it to the National Assembly about two weeks ago.

A lot mixed reactions have trailed this development, as to why the FG does not deem it fit to publicize the budget so that every Nigerian can at least have a clue of how the affairs of the state is planned to be ran come 2015 on the fiscal outlook.

According to sources, the Finance Minister, earlier stated that the 2015 budget shall be made known to all as in details, but until this day being the 31st day of December, and also the day of the year 2014, there hasn't been any insight by Nigerians on that piece of information.

Furthermore, about six copies of the budget was made, since it was quite concise, and that two of it were dispatched to the National Assembly, while the other copies were sent to some important authorities within the Ministry of Finance.

The Director General of the Budget Office of the Federation, Dr. Bright Okogu, said that the N4.3 trillion  2015 budget is been delayed from making the copies available to the Nigerian populace due to the Christmas holidays, perhaps it shall be made available to the public after this season.
