Tony Elumelu, billionaire, and business mogul has taken a very great step towards his philanthropic works lately. This Financial guru, with all his benevolence, and because of his drive to assist and alleviate poverty around Africa and the world at large, has decided to launch an initiative termed The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme, which is a Pan-African entrepreneurial program, designed to open new horizons in the lives of many young Africans whose dreams and aspirations are goal-oriented towards making a viable and robust continent in the near future.
This foundation is geared towards empowering the young African entrepreneurs through training, funding, and mentoring to enable them become self-reliant and successful in the pursuit of their goals.
It is said that the target is to create 1,000,000 new jobs for the period of 10 years, and at the moment, it will start with 10,000 jobs across African continent, and with $10 billion in annual revenues.
According to the philanthropist's statement on the foundation's website, “The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme will offer a structured, multi-year opportunity to access funding, knowledge and perhaps most importantly mentoring, on s scale that is unprecedented in Africa – it is our opportunity to empower a generation,” Mr Tony stated.
