Obasanjo Accuses Jonathan Of Plot To Rig Election

Former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo had earlier today made some derogatory statements against President Goodluck Jonathan.

Obasanjo has been hitting hard on President Jonathan and his administration, saying that his government has been the most corrupt in the Nigerian leadership line. In a book called "My Watch" which was banned to be sold in Nigeria because of the strong allegations leveled against the President.

Just yesterday Obasanjo took a swipe on Goodluck Jonathan criticizing him over the election postponement by alleging that the purpose was to carry out rigging in order to emerge the winner in the presidential polls.  He asserted that because the Goodluck's administration already saw it coming that his strongest opposition in the race which is retired General Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) is going to win the election, then he decided to shift the general elections to enable him readjust on the possible means of manipulating the results in his favour.

Meanwhile, President Jonathan has reacted to the statement credited to Obasanjo as being wicked and malicious, that he never championed the postponement of the elections rather the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC did so which according to its reasons will be to the interest of the country.

Mr President affirmed that Obasanjo's constant attacks  on him for some time being is because he had refused to allow him run his administration and he (Obasanjo) decided to create all sorts of malicious thoughts to tarnish his image and at the same time cause disaffection that may hit the polity.

  1. I know the election postponement wasn't expected at the time INEC did it but let us not resolve in believing that president Goodluck is trying to take undue advantage of the election shift just as Obasanjo insinuates so that there wouldn't be a form of violence during and after the polls. My advice to Obasanjo is that he should learn to talk like an Elder statesman in critical issues as this to avoid heating up the already heated polity.

  2. Obj is always talking too much, let him relax until the elections is rigged first then Nigerians will fight for it collectively and not to be shouting now when nothing hasn't gone wrong.
