Senator Florence Ita-Giwa To Splash Over N100 Million On Daughter’s Wedding

SENATOR Florence Ita-Giwa is plotting an exotic wedding for her daughter, Koko. And reportedly budgeting over N100 million for the Calabar and Lagos wedding carnival, reliable sources said Mma Bakassi is sparing no cost to give her daughter, a befitting nuptials. Koko’s traditional wedding is on Saturday, September 13, 2014, while the white wedding is slated for Saturday, September 20. In fact, the invitation card encased in a luxury pack is already out. Those privileged to have received it said it contains the aso ebi (for women), pink tie and pocket square for men who opt to go formal. There is also a cap for men who wish to dress the native way.

Relatedly, artistes and entertainers who are attending the classy wedding are also receiving clothes that come in purple. In all, the influential politician and former Senator of the Federal Republic is reportedly spending about N100,000 per guest collecting the aso ebi. Part of Ita-Giwa’s N100 million budget would go to hotel accommodation, transportation, gift items, food, drinks and logistics for her over 1,000 high profile guests who would fly in from parts of the country and overseas for the wedding extravaganza. Similarly, Senator Ita-Giwa, over the weekend, reportedly travelled abroad to ship in luxury gift items and other things needed for the talk-of-the-town wedding.

The wedding co-ordinators are currently operating from the prestigious Lagos hotel.
