Superstar Rapper Nicki Minaj asked to refund $1million performance fee
The news getting to us now has it that female rapper Nicki Minaj has been asked for a refund of One Million US Dollars over a cancelled show by a Youth organisation known as "ANC Youth League" from the Republic Of South. This group were said to have paid the sum of 10Million South African Rands which amounts to One Million Us Dollars in its equivalent to the US Rapper's management, for a show which was scheduled to hold in the SA, but unfortunately the show was called-off and the rapper couldn't perform for that event, which then led the ANC Youth League of SA to request for the pay back of the fee by Nicki Minaj's management team. This $1Million was supposedly for Music Festival show known as TribeOne Dinokeng, which was intended to hold this October at Tshwane in SA.
According to the agreement signed earlier before the money was paid to Nicki Minaj, was that any fee paid on the basis of show cancellation by the host is not refundable by the receiver or performing artiste, and now there seems to be no response coming from the her management team as regards to the letter written to them by the ANC Youth League, since the breach of contract wasn't from their team of artiste.
At the moment, the ANC Youth League is about giving all up on the possible means of having the money back, since they've not been able to get the attention of the rapper's management nor the rapper herself, so they decided to rescind to fate, by asking Nicki Minaj and her management team to donate the $1Million to Charity, if she doesn't feel like paying the money back to them. They said they wouldn't want their money to be spent on some artificial breast enlargement stuffs by Nicki.
Well, this is not Nicki's fault, so it's automatically her money, and if she'll be kind enough she may do just as the ANCYL requested. But to be honest not very few will do that, no matter how super-rich they maybe. And we're sure that not even Nicki Minaj will agree to donate that cash to Charity... what do you think?
This is not Nicki Minaj's fault, so there won't be any need calling for a refund, since it was also entered in the agreement before sealing off the deal.
ReplyDeleteSince Nicki minaj is so rich, she can easily refund at least part of the payment to the ANCYL but let this one serve as a deterrent incase of next time.
