Prof. Attahiru Jega Redeploys 37 Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs)

INEC Chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega

The Chairman Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Attahiru Jega has redeployed 37 Resident Electoral Commissioners, RECs to the various states of the federation to further reorient and sanitize the commission regarding the 2015 general elections.

The re-deployment was made at this time more especially to get those commissioners who were reported to have compromised their oath of office by beginning to dance and play into the hands of the state government where they are earlier deployed so they may not be a tool to bring a failure to the INEC's planned free and fair elections of 2015.

This is the man reason for this redeployment, because it has already be told that some of the Resident commissioners are beginning to fall so cheap to the hospitalities and luxurious living shown to them by their host state governments.

But I also learnt that there are still very few who have remained unbiased, undaunted and unflinched in their commitment and oath of office towards ensuring a free and fair elections come 2015, and to these very few, Prof Jega, the INEC Chairman is still confident in them.
