It was a great tragedy to the Nigerian nation as over 120 persons have been reported dead in the bombing of the Kano Central Mosque yesterday.
This was stated to have occurred as many Muslim worshippers crowded the mosque to perform their Friday usual ritual of J’umaat prayers, it didn't take few minutes, and the bombs which was reported to be about 3 of them exploded outside the mosque, leading to several hundreds of people dead in the explosion, while over 270 persons were seriously injured
According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the death toll may rise to over 150, considering the degree of injuries seen on those that were being evacuated from the scene of that incident earlier.
The most painful aspect of it was that as the muslim communicants scamper for refuge in the midst of the bomb blast, the boko-haram terrorists that embedded the bomb began shooting sporadically to them, killing some of them and inflicting more injuries to ones that survived the explosions. It took the security operatives that arrived at the scene without any waste time to disengage the deadly insurgents from the shooting, and about six of them were confirmed to be killed by the men of armed forces.
It was such a terrible situation.
