Due to the high rate at which the deadly Ebola Virus Disease [EVD] has ravaged some of the West African countries in recent times, the Guinea Republic had deemed it fit to come up with a new innovation as to rise above this challenge that is posed to the nation by this epidemic.
The country has launched an Ebola mobile laboratory outfit to enable a quick and effective test the people, as medical experts have said that this will reduce Ebola testing times to say 15 minutes unlike the long time it used to take before.
This Ebola testing mobile laboratory will enable the health workers to quickly carry out tests on people and as well get those that seem to possess the symptoms in isolation to avoid getting other people infected with the virus.
According to Val Snewi, who works in the International Activities at the Wellcome Trust, says "A reliable, 15-minute test that can confirm cases of Ebola would be a key tool for effective management of the Ebola outbreak, It not only gives patients a better chance of survival, but it prevents transmission of the virus to other people."
This is a good approach at the right direction to ensure that this deadly virus does not envelop the whole African continent due to lack of technological know-how.
