It's a near tragedy, but very unfortunate that it never happened as an airplane with Identification number as ATR 72 Turboprop Engine belonging to the Overland Airways with 52 passenger on board hit a near crash yesterday.
The near crash was reported to have occurred around 5:45PM Nigerian time, when the flight was about leaving from Abuja to Ilorin, but not even a passenger wa reported to be injured in that incident.
When the Aviation authorities were consulted to confirm if there were victims, but they informed that there was no casualty recorded in that accident, among the 52 passengers in the airplane and the 4 crew member, all of them survived, and were evacuated successfully.
At the meantime, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority(NCAA) has commenced inquiry as to ascertain the cause of that incident, according to the statement issued yesterday by Fan Ndubuoke, NCAA's General Manager, on Public Affairs.
