Senate sitting at the NASS headquarters
Yesterday in an 8- long-hour meeting before the Upper chamber of the National Assembly, the Senate, came the Nigerian Military Service Chiefs and they were quizzed on the reason why the Boko-Haram insurgency has continued to deflate the North-East states, of Nigeria.
In that meeting, the Service chiefs present were, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minimah; and the Director of the Department of State Service, Mr. Ekpeyong Ita.
According to the Senate spokesperson , in his words to the press after the meeting, stated that the Military Chiefs complained of lack of military equipments, meagre number of soldiers, as well as other hitches.
He further said that about the proposed emergency rule on these 3-North-East states namely, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe is not even mentioned in the meeting, as some other critical issues were the major issues that took the day for that whole 8-long hours.
