The deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, was actually the winner of the just concluded Peoples' Democratic Party Governorship Primary election held this week at Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri.
But the victory is at the moment being challenged by one of the contestants of this same seat, by names Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, stating that he was the rightful winner, , that the pronouncement of the Deputy Speaker winner is false, and wrong.
He threatened that he shall go to court if the situation is not addressed as to allow him take the mandate as the rightful winner.
But from the look of things, the State PDP has confirmed that the process which led to the emergence of Deputy Speaker was very free and fair, and that the result was announced there and then, before every person left the premises, and therefore, the party's gubernatorial candidate is none other than Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, whom they said shall be handed the certificate to run in the February 14th, of 2015 general elections.
At the moment of this publication, his name has been forwarded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ratification.
