Just yesterday, a special bomb experts from the men of the Nigeria Police Force, averted what would have been a terrible disaster, at a famous restaurant, Kilmanjaro to be precise which situates at the hub of Owerri city, Imo State, if it wasn't for a quick alert to the Police by a security personnel stationed there.
From an eyewitness who confirmed this information to me, it was said that that Improvised Electronic Device (IED) were two of them, and one was planted somewhere at the lobby, while the other one was planted into an Air Conditioner that is fixed outside of the eatery.
Following the speech by the Police Commissioner in Imo State, Abudmajid Ali, over the radio, as regards to how they averted the impending menace, "I quickly sent my Anti-Bomb Squad to the scene. They applied a lot of professionalism to detonate the explosive components."
He therefore assured the people who resides in Owerri and the entire Imolites not to engender any panic, as this Christmas shall be celebrated in a very serene and peaceful atmosphere.
But at the moment, it is not detected yet, if the bombing plan was linked to Boko-Haram or not, as Police has already began investigation to ascertain the actual route that led to this evil plan.
