Muslims Rights Concern, MURIC Pleads With President Jonathan Not To Purchase New Jet

Professor Ishaq Akintola, Director MURIC

The Muslims Rights Concern, MURIC, has called on President Goodluck Jonathan not to proceed with his plans of acquiring new jet.

This Muslim group made this solemn plea to Jonathan following the President's call  on Nigerians to try their best as to ensure they bear the austerity measure which the fall of crude oil in the world marker has plunged the nation into.

So as a leader who would lead by example, this Muslim group thereby charged Mr President to also exhibit this same attitude which he's calling on Nigerians since the economy is facing serious danger of crumbling at this time.

This call was made by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola, who also affirmed that President Goodluck as a true leader should lead by example to enable other Nigerians to follow after his lead.

He further stated that if Mr President claims to have the interest of Nigerians at heart as a true leader, then he wouldn't harbour the thought of still moving ahead with the idea of purchasing a new jet since there is great hardship lurking in the face of this nation at this particular time.
