The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has made known his interest to consider picking a female to be his running mate in the general elections of 2015.
He made this known at a PDP political rally in Omagwa Rivers State, where he stated that time has come when the female folks must be incorporated into the leadership system of the state, and that the party has resolved that it must be carried out in this present election, so as to give the women folk a voice in the political affairs of the state.
It's a welcome development, I subscribe to that idea of getting the more women involved into key positions in politics.
