Standard Organization of Nigeria(SON) has affirmed that by January 1st 2015, every cement put in the market for sale must bear the manufacturing, and expiry dates, as well as Batch number.
This according to them is to ensure that standard is maintained within the Nigerian manufacturing sector, as well as to protect the consumers from the dangers of less-quality or substandard goods.
It will also enhance Nigerian-made cements to measure up with the International standards and quality.
