The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, was yesterday expressed his hope for a peaceful and better democratic state of Nigeria.
Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, stated this after being granted unhindered access into the Green Chambers of the House of Representatives without any further harassment or blockade by the men of the Police force like it was witnessed sometime last month, when the Speaker and some of the House members were battered and tear gassed as they try to make their way into the Assembly complex.
Mr Speaker confirmed this after having a meeting with the Minister of Finance and coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, while presenting the 2015 Appropriation Bill .
The meeting was successful after all, as the Speaker assured the Minister of every support by the House of Representatives to ensure that the budget is granted approval.
