There was a bomb blast near the Gombe stadium where President Jonathan's campaign rally was held yesterday.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer  (PPRO) in Gombe State, DSP Fwaje Atajiri, this blast occurred few minutes after the President had left that environment, and it said that this ugly situation led to the deaths of two persons, where one is the suspected female suicide bomber, and the other a woman, while several other people sustained injuries.

It was said that this explosion took place near a carpentry workshop, in the Kashere Street at the Water Board area in Gombe state, which is somehow a little bit far away from the President Goodluck's Campaign ground, as was revealed by DSP Atajiri to Newsmen.
