We have just gathered that the first lady and the wife of President of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan have been conferred with a prestigious award by the Ladies of Saint Mulumba Catholic Church of Nigeria on Thursday the 10th October, 2014 following the myriad of humanitarian achievements that she has made within the shortest possible time of her reign as the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This assessment of her achievements which was all directed towards the empowerment and emancipation of the women and young girls from state of poverty and as well give them the opportunity to be a voice that would speak for themselves, their families as well as the society at large.

This kind and charity works of the first lady were all championed through her pet project which is labelled "Women for Change and Development Initiative (W4CDI)". We gathered that through this pet project, the first lady has already touched several lifes of women and girls alike in both the rural and urban areas,across the Nigerian federation. And this feat and landmark achievements were what prompted the Ladies of Saint Mulumba of the Catholic Church "LSM" to pay her a solidarity visit with the the conferment of this prestigious award of " The Mother Theresa of Our Time", as she's been working in accordance to the directives of Pope Francis.

Reacting to this kind and heat-warming gesture, the first lady tanked the LSM women for the confidence reposed in her as their first lady and having acknowledged her pragmatic efforts to ensure that the women folk is given a sense of hope in Nigeria and beyond.
In her exact words she stated as thus;

“It was Mother Theresa of old who said ‘being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody I think that is a much greater hunger, a greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat’.

“This saying has been my propelling force for the advocacy and policy dialogue to enhance the status of women in the society.

She further stated that; “As wives, mothers and sisters, we have important roles to play in moving Nigeria forward on the path of peace and development. As mothers and role models, we owe it a duty to our families and our nation to build our homes as well as the needed change in our communities.

We all at Ymzonline.blogspot.com felicitate with you dear First lady 'Dame Patience" on  your award by the LSM women.
