President Goodluck Jonathan Declares Interest To Run For 2015 Presidential Election 24-Hours After The PDP Warning Ultimatum

President GEJ declares interest to run for 2015 Presidential election

This is very amazing as one can't stop thinking whether President GEJ is actually contesting for this Presidential seat on his own free-will or he's been forced to do so by any interest group, but no matter whose intentions, 2015 will decide them all.  This mind-boggling issue is coming your way this time following the warning ultimatum that was issued by the People's Democratic Party "PDP"  barely 24-hours, stating that if he [President GEJ] as well other who would seek a re-run or a fresh run in the 2015 election under the PDP platform and fail to make his/her interest known to the knowledge of the Party and Nigerian public within 7-days , shall stand to forfeit such ambition, there and then, Mr. President, without any hesitation or delay came out to the fore to declare his willingness and desire to be in the contest coming around next year.

It was reported that Mr. President will be picking the nomination form before the expiration of the one week deadline that was earlier give by the PDP.

Furthermore, an official who spoke on anonymity about the declaration committee that is headed by the erstwhile National Chairman of the PDP "Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed"  is constituted of  some representatives of governors, the National Assembly, and some other political stakeholders, while the date has been seen to be tentative for the moment, but going by this, the committee shall soon chose a date which will be very suitable for them as well as the President for the declaration proper.

According to a close source, it was said that those present at the meeting that preceded  this report about Mr. Presidents intention to run for the 2015 Presidential election were as follows;

The Chairman of the PDP, Adamu Muazu, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the party, Chief Tony Anenih, the president of the Senate, Senator David Mark, some few and confidential aides of the president.

“President Jonathan met with key party members where he thanked them for giving him the opportunity of first refusal. He thanked them for adopting him as the candidate of the party and formally informed them that he has accepted to run and would be purchasing the nomination form before the expiration of the one week deadline given by the PDP for all its aspirants to pick nomination forms within one week,”

I hope that the 2015 election shall be one that will be conducted on a free and fair ground, because Nigeria is bleeding of bad leadership and this wound needs to healed soon.
